The Stafford County Board of Supervisors this week voted to support a widening plan for U.S. 1 in the Boswell's Corner area. The plan, developed by the Federal Highway Administration, is geared to help the corridor handle increased traffic, primarily related to Marine Corps Base Quantico and the Base Realignment and Closure, which brought thousands of federal workers into the commuting mix in North Stafford and southern Prince William County.
